The Rally Vltava was successfully brought into the European Championship series after only its fifth year, at the FIA autumn congress in Paris in 1964. Louis Chiron played a crucial role in this – a three-time winner of the Masaryk Circuit in Brno (1931, 1932 and 1933) and a personal friend of many Czechoslovak drivers. Therefore, we highlight this merit by recognizing Mr. Chiron as the patron of the Rally Vltava.
